Can Cosmelan Depigmentation treatment be used on any skin type?
Yes. Cosmelan Depigmentation treatment is suitable for all skin types with a very high
safety margin.

How does Cosmelan work?
Cosmelan Depigmentation treatment action mechanism is based on the inhibition of
tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process. Several of the substances
present in the Cosmelan formula act by blocking this enzyme, or even by inverting the
metabolic process of the transformation chain.

What is involved with the Cosmelan Depigmentation Treatment?
The Cosmelan Depigmentation treatement is a "2-step" process. It involves a very
versatile, dynamic process which is easily adapted to the needs of each individual
patient.

Cosmelan 1: Office Treatment
The surface of the skin is thoroughly cleansed to eliminate any dead skin cells and oily
residues. A facial mask is then applied to the patient over the surface of the skin. (The
time required for the cream to act completely will be determined by our physician
based on the patients skin type.)

Cosmelan 2: Home Treatment
The depigmentation treatment is then followed by the Cosmelan 2 Cream. This
guarantees the permanence of the initial depigmenting treatment, favouring the
disappearance of blemishes of melanic origin. It is also indicated for treating mixed and
oily skins.
Cosmelan 2 cream is applied to the entire area of the skin to be treated, three times per
day during the first week, twice per day for the second week and once per day after the
third week.

What can I expect from the Cosmelan Depigmentation treatment?
One week after starting Cosmelan Depigmentation treatment, a noticeable significant
improvement of the skin is observed! The reduction of the treated blemish is detected
